What Midlife Women Should Know about the Menopause – Video
Finally, Menopause and its social impact are being discussed openly. This follows centuries of medical and media silence about a topic that is well recognised among women who have been through it as an unpleasent experience. Only now are we willing to talk openly about it.
The danger is of thinking of Menopause as an inconvenient ailment to be suppressed with medical solutions, so that the woman can return to the life she had before.
Interventions such as HRT should of course be available and tried by women to see if it helps them temporarily or permanently.
However, what should not be ignored is that there is a fundamental change in our bodies going on. Menopause, or more accurately Perimenopause, is the change in our reproductive process.

This video gives a useful summary of the things we need to look out for and do to adjust to living with our new body.
