Club News & Magazine – New Year Resolutions – Yawn!

How is your New Year going? We start the year with good intentions or New Year resolutions, but all too soon it turns into the ‘Same Old, Same Old’.

Often this is because we express our resolutions in the Negative. We say we are going to give-up something, or stop doing something. This has a built-in failure mechanism. One lapse and the resolution has gone.

Instead, I suggest we should focus on the Positive. If we decide to start doing something then we are always moving forward, even if we start late or have interruptions. What is more the resolution can last for the whole year even if it is a bit erratic.

For example I started Zumba classes just before Christmas. I haven’t been every week and now I intend to go every week unless there is a valid reason why I can’t.

What would you like to start doing in 2025?

Love Jean

Why do Butterflies have to struggle?

That is the usual time that the perimenopause starts. In this controversial article, I try to answer my own question by aligning the process a caterpillar goes through in the chrysalis, and then having to escape from it to the journey that most women go through in their forties.
